About Dr. Annie Laweryson (She/Her/Hers)

Hi there. I’m so glad you made it to my website. If you are reading this, you are probably struggling in some kind of way and I would love to help.

I am a licensed psychologist in the State of Washington and provide psychological services in a private practice setting. As a psychologist I use a combination of cognitive, behavioral, and attachment psychology to help people who are dealing with a variety of issues. Often, my sessions focus on health, wellness, and a quality-of-life issues.

As a certified nutritionist I may bring general nutritional knowledge or advice into our sessions which allows me to focus on you as a whole person where mind and body are connected. However, I encourage you to follow up with your primary care provider or a registered dietitian for more specific nutritional recommendations. Please be aware that I do not provide nutritional treatment plans, tailored nutrition recommendations, or nutritional diagnoses as this is not the focus of my work or the scope of my license. I may, however, diagnoses some individuals with eating related disorders.

Although I consider myself a generalist (meaning I have experience and training working with all types of mental health disorders), I have a special focus in health and wellness related issues. This includes eating disorders, disordered eating, relationships with food and body, chronic pain, chronic illness, health related transitions such as a new or difficult health diagnoses, mind-body awareness, weight loss and health behavior change, as well as sports related psychology. Because the mind and body are so connected, I have found that my approach to treatment is also helpful for issues such as depression, anxiety, and trauma, ADHD, bipolar, grief and loss, etc.

When I am not in the office you can usually find me out outdoors. I love to trail run, hike, camp, and go fishing. I like to travel abroad (when I can!) and have a passion for experiencing new cultures …especially trying new foods! When not adventuring, you can find me at home cooking or relaxing with family and friends.

To summarize, I am passionate about helping people and would love to see you feeling better. If this sounds like a good fit for you, please give me a call to schedule a phone consultation (253-528-3242) and we will go from there!
