Eating disorders do not discriminate. This means that anyone of any race, gender, religion, age, and body size, etc. can experience an eating disorder. If you believe that yourself or a loved one is experiencing symptoms, please reach out.
People who wish to work with me must be appropriate for an outpatient level of care. Current and prospective clients must be:
1. Medically stable (cleared by a professional)
2. At least 85% of recommended body weight
3. Can manage/reduce purging or exercise behaviors
4. Actively motivated to participate in treatment
** People who do not met this criteria may need a higher level of care such as intensive outpatient treatment, residential treatment, or hospitalization**
My philosophy when treating eating disorders is rooted in mindful eating, body positivity, and social justice. In therapy, I will help you grow a healthy relationship with food, learn to listen to your hunger cues, and foster self-love. I offer a compassionate and holistic treatment experience.
Most people I work with struggle with more than one issue. Often times this means folks come to me with eating issues AND depression or anxiety. Some people have trauma or another co-occurring mental issue, others have co-occurring physical health problems. No matter the complexity, I am here for it.
