Therapeutic psychological assessment is a short-term intervention aimed to help clients learn more about themselves as well as identify realistic steps to address their issues.
Ideal for people who:
Have unanswered questions about themselves
Want a short-term/intensive intervention
Wish to augment individual therapy
Need diagnostic clarity
Have complex psychological or behavioral issues
Have unexplained symptoms
Have not responded to other treatments
At the conclusion of the assessment you will receive a report summarizing the results of your assessment as well as personalized psychological, behavioral, and nutritional recommendations intended to optimize your cognitive and emotional functioning.
Therapeutic assessment process:
First Meeting
During the first meeting we will talk about your goals for the psychological assessment. I will gather information about your background and symptom history. We will then come up with specific questions you want answered.
Testing
The specific “tests” that you complete are chosen based on the questions you want answered Each assessment is curated and personalized to meet your needs. The actual testing process will take place over 1-3 meetings.
Results
After you complete the testing, I will analyze your data, write a summary of the results, and curate a personalized list of recommendations. We will meet 1-2 more times to go over the test data, reflect on your experience, and spend time reviewing your recommendations.
