Eating concerns rarely exist in a vacuum. For many individuals struggling with eating disorders or longstanding difficulties with food, body image, or eating behavior, there may also be underlying or co-occurring concerns involving ADHD, Autism, anxiety, mood, trauma, sensory processing, or other aspects of neurodivergence.
My training in both psychology and nutrition allows me to consider these connections as part of a broader psychological evaluation. When clinically appropriate, I look beyond the presenting eating concern to understand the cognitive, emotional, behavioral, developmental, and sensory factors that may be shaping the way someone experiences food and eating.
